What Limited Actually Means at Wildflower

By Jack Bingham

Roughly once a month, we release a Limited drop at Wildflower. And Limited here means exactly what it says. One design, one run, and when it's gone, it's gone for good. We never print a Limited design again. Ever.

This post is the why, and the what goes into them.

One design, one moment

Every Limited tee is a special one off design that sits in its own unique place in time. Stardust, One of a Kind, Oubaitori, Gratitude, Foundations. Each one captured where we were at as a brand in that moment, and each one belongs to the people who grabbed it before it sold out.

That's the deal we make with every Limited. If we reprinted them, they'd stop meaning something. So we don't (even when people ask. And people ask a lot).

Where we get to experiment

Limiteds are also where we push ourselves. Heavy washed fabrics for that perfectly worn in feel from day one. Garment dyed pieces where no two come out exactly alike. Distressing, special stitching, techniques we've never tried before.

Some of it is slow and fiddly and honestly a bit risky. That's the point. The Limited line is our playground, and it's where our favourite pieces have come from.

Designed from scratch, right here

Every Limited tee starts in Photoshop with Jack, our co-founder and designer. Not just the graphics either. The fabric weight, the cut, the fit, the neckline, the stitch details, all of it is designed from scratch and meticulously refined until it's right.

We don't print on blanks. Never have. Every piece is designed with love here in Newcastle, Australia, then ethically made to our exact spec.

How to catch the next one

Limited drops go live on a Friday at 6pm, online. The email list hears first and VIPs get early access, so if you've been burned by a sellout before, that's your move.

See what's live right now over at our streetwear page, and keep an eye on the next Friday. It might be the one you keep forever.
