Let's start where it matters. We're still working on our tank tops to get them to perfection but man, the humble tank may appear to be the simplest thing we make, but thats exactly why it is easy to get wrong. There is nowhere to hide.
Again, all opinion here. Everyone wears these differently and that is kind of the point, but these are the four things we obsess over when we are designing one.
The armhole
This is the one that makes or breaks a tank. Too low and it gapes when you move, too high and it pinches your shoulder.
We've designed ours to sit somewhere in the middle so it reads relaxed without being revealing. It should skim your side rather than open it up.
The strap width
Strap width is a huge fashio call but we have tried to merge fashion AND function as much as possible. Too thin and it can dig into your shoulder, too wide and it stops feeling like a tank. There is a narrow band that sits comfortably and still looks considered, and it is worth fussing over (we did, for ages). Material also matters here a lot!
The hem length
Our tanks are long enough to wear out over shorts without riding up when you reach for something, but again.. too long and you're sacrificing style its a fine fine line! A tank that creeps up every time you move is a tank you stop reaching for.
The fabric
Weight and construction matters even more here than on a tee, tanks are a fitted garment, this is a whole different ball game in design because there is less structure holding the shape. We use a rib that holds its form and sits lightly on the body rather than clinging.
How ours fit
True to size with a relaxed body. Want it fitted? Take your normal size. Like it loose over shorts or a swimsuit? Size up one. There is a size chart on every listing if you want to compare against something in your wardrobe.
They come in lilac, black and white, which covers about everything a summer needs!
